I practice an integrative holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected, not just what you eat. Holistic health and wellness includes your mind, body and soul. I was grateful for my 14+ years of coaching corporate executives on positive mindset, as it mentally prepared me for the curveball life threw at my Family. My story started with my mother’s health journey after she was diagnosed with 4th Stage Multiple Myeloma (blood cancer), and full kidney failure in late 2015. She was treated at the City of HOPE in 2016, and I was on a mission to ensure she had longer than the 2-5 years her doctors projected. With all women in my lineage battling the c-word I did a lot of self-reflecting and discovered many things I was not happy with within myself. Like my imposter syndrome!

I WAS ON THE HAMSTER WHEEL FLOATING THROUGH MY DAYS, LACKING ENERGY TO HAVE ANY TYPE OF WORK LIFE BALANCE AND NOT FEELING SEXY IN MY OWN SKIN. QUESTIONING WHY I NO LONGER FELT MY BEST AT 40 YEARS YOUNG.

STRUGGLING WITH CARDIO, CLEANSES, AND LATE-NIGHT MUNCHIES

STRUGGLING WITH SELF-VALIDATION

I looked outward for self-validation, held myself standards to photoshopped models, my celebrity friends, and developed bad living habits while trying to forget past traumatic life events. I wondered why I had adult acne, no energy to get through my days in corporate America & couldn’t shed the excess tummy bloat/weight I wanted. I suffered from severe headaches, back and neck pain, and relied on toxic coffee drinks and THC to get me through each day. In the evenings, I traded in my toxic coffee for multiple glasses of wine, sugary sweets, and self-medicating myself to sleep each night….I was a hot mess trying to keep it all together!

MY JOURNEY THROUGH UNHEALTHY HABITS AND CORPORATE STRESS

All the cardio in the world and juice cleanses were not working for me! I didn’t know what to eat. I still cheated at night because the THC definitely caused the late-night munchies. My go-to snacks were big no-no’s, but I still indulged nightly. I was a stress ball trying to hide it all from the world. My days were either jacked up or tapped out lying in bed. I was overwhelmed and I knew I needed to change these habits, but I didn’t know where to start.

SICK & TIRED OF FEELING SICK & TIRED?

Really think about that question. If you focus on that question, you may find out that your goals are actually rooted in something much deeper than you originally thought. And that something deeper can motivate you to do the necessary work to get there. I will help you explore this question and dig deeper in our 1st discovery session call.

IT’S ALL ABOUT MINDSET – LIFESTYLE – DISCIPLINE!

I get it. So was I! The modern-day pressures of “doing it all”. You have to thrive at home, shine at work, and crust that to-do list – this keeps you stuck in ‘survival mode’. This also releases a chronic stream of stress hormones that are wreaking havoc on your overall health and causing a gut imbalance. Perhaps you’ve heard that our gut is our 2nd brain?! It’s true! When our natural flora is out of balance, bacteria will start to overpopulate and make you ‘hangry’. That was me! Then add cravings…sugary refined sweets were my go-to! To top it off, to prepare for the next “emergency” (real/perceived) the body’s stress response system requires fast energy – uh, like the energy from sugar (including alcohol), salt, and processed fats. That means when we’re chronically stressed, our brains and bodies will demand these quick and convenient foods. Does this sound familiar? This is where I find so many of my clients are suffering. This is NOT your fault! Looking back, I can see all the contributing factors within myself.

IT’S ALL ABOUT MINDSET – LIFESTYLE – DISCIPLINE!

Discipline entails caring enough about yourself to consistently take intentional actions towards self-improvement, even on days when motivation is lacking. I got help! Having an accountability coach makes all the difference! This personal commitment is where true transformation occurs. I fully embraced a plant-based lifestyle to mend my connection with food, restore balance to my gut and hormones, reduce inflammation in my body, and alleviate chronic skin issues. I found a support system – implemented tools to encourage my new habits, positive mindset and techniques to manage those toxic cravings. I made a lot of positive changes, and as a result, a whole new world unfolded before me – I shed 29 lbs. at 45 years+ without killing myself in a gym. I witnessed remarkable changes both internally and externally in my own skin. My energy surged, my mindset shifted, and my body visibly transformed. Through this journey, I cultivated lasting, healthy habits for a balanced life, rid my body of the bloat, pain, and inflammation. And even better I honed the skills to keep it that way. And I’m here to tell you, you can too!

I earned my undergrad degree from the University of LaVerne. My Bachelor of Administration degree coupled with my 28+ years of corporate management experience has helped me articulate and implement my passion for empowering people to become the best version of themselves. In addition, I have incorporated these techniques into my coaching practice, including that everyone has different learning styles.

I am also a hemp wellness activist and Community Ambassador for Zilis, LLC, and have extensive knowledge and training of the Endocannabinoid system (ECS). Trained by a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) over the last 4 years; on how to use hemp and vitamin supplements for optimal health. I’m beyond passionate about these holistic health supplements because they changed my Mother’s life and had such a positive effect on my entire family. These products also played a pivotal role in my own personal health journey & have positively impacted hundreds of my clients Worldwide.

Through this journey of self-improvement, I went back to school & obtained my certification as a Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in NYC. I then took additional certification courses specializing in gut health and detoxification. My education at IIN deepened my comprehension of nutrition, the origins of our food, the multitude of toxins we encounter daily, and the holistic relationship between overall well-being, happiness, and health. Recognizing the interconnectedness of aspects such as weight, dietary choices, beauty, relationships, and mindset is crucial.

Since then, I’ve gone back to school and I’m currently pursuing my National Board Certification (NBCHW). This is the highest level of certification for health and wellness coaches, awarded to coaches who complete a certain number of coaching hours and a rigorous exam. You will be able to rest assured that through this program I have a thorough understanding of the best coaching practices, I follow the NBHWC Code of Ethics, and that I am committed to my ongoing professional development as a wellness coach.
